Thomas Breitkreuz

Dr Thomas Breitkreuz was born in 1964 in Münster, Germany. Subject of his doctoral thesis was the genetics of prostate cancer. Dr Breitkreuz specialised as an internist with oncology, gastroenterology, cardiovascular disease, and general internal medicine as the main areas of clinical expertise. He has worked at the Community Hospital Herdecke, Germany for nine years and has been affiliated with the Department of Medical Theory and Complementary Medicine at the University of Witten/Herdecke.

Since 2010 Dr Breitkreuz is Senior Consultant at the Paracelsus Hospital, Unterlengenhardt, Germany. He is Chairman of the Commission C for Anthroposophic Medicinal Products (AMPs) at the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices, in Bonn, Germany and a accredited expert of AMPs at the European Medicines Agency. Furthermore he is Board member of the Federation of Anthroposophic Medical Associations (IVAA) and Member of the Executive Board of the Physicians' Association for Anthroposophic Medicine in Germany (GAÄD)
